My Calling:
I’m Charis Robbins— a media enthusiast who specializes in media history, specifically regarding Leadership. A wannabe author, Pastor’s Kid, and adoptee based in Schertz, Texas. While you might find me crocheting or studying at home, my heart is truly set on the mission field. Having seen the good, the bad, the ugly of ministry as a PK, I feel a deep calling to go out and foster healthy, life-giving ministry that leads people straight to Jesus. Why with all of the things you have had to go through, why do you still want to go into ministry? I have been asked this question many, many times. My answer has always been:

I have seen census Christians (in it for the title) lead a ministry just for the glory. And I know it is not my place to judge others, but that is what I have seen. Then I have seen true Christians (in it for God’s Glory) lead with resilience even through the fire. I want there to be more resilient leaders in ministry.

But I think it goes much deeper than that. God has called me to ministry. How could I say no – even after I have seen all that I have – if God has called you to do something, you do it. And I will! To where I do not know, but here is the great news; He Does! And that is all that matters!

My Skills for the Mission:
To prepare for the mission field, I am developing my skills as a Media Specialist. I am a media enthusiast with a specific interest in Media History—specifically, how the message of the Gospel has been communicated through the ages. Whether it was the printed Bibles of the past or the Vlogs and Podcasts of today, I study these tools to understand how to best bridge the gap between people and the Light of Christ.

The Vision:
My work through this Blog, Podcast, and Vlog is my first mission field. I want to show leaders—and future missionaries like myself—that we don’t have to lead from a place of exhaustion. When we lean on the Ultimate Leader (Jesus), our “vessel” is never empty. I’m here to use every tool available—old and new—to make sure no one feels they are standing alone.
